Curved, Shaded, Wooden Deck & Gazebo

Client had a "dry ravine" bordering 40% of their heavily wooded property. The dense foliage offered 100% fragrant shade for a pleasant retreat. Largo Green (LG) captured the setting by building a curved deck & gazebo. This traced both the property border, & flow-line of temporary rushes of rainfall from the neighborhood's runoff past this end lot. LG tethered deck to the hillside with rock planters & waterfall.

Flagstone Patio

Client wanted to cover dirt back yard with extra-large flagstone patio. largo Green Inc. sourced the extra-large flagstone locally and delivered couple pallets to their back yard. Shapes & sizes were selected for different areas. largo Green Inc. assembled the mosaic of flagstone to capture & optimize the space available in client's backyard. 

Wood Deck Porches Repaired & Restored

Client has 2 porches/decks/stairs that were heavily weathered with some wood rot. Largo Green (LG) removed decayed wood planks, pickets, stairs, and railings. LG replaced old wood with weatherized wood components, LG sanded both of the entire decks/stairs, railings/pickets, before painting with a fresh durable exterior paint.

Client hired Largo Green (LG) as a callback from a previous successful project. Client had 900sf wood deck needing restored. LG deep-sanded the old wood burr & paint off, then applied fresh new stain to match the original.

Cedar Wood Deck, Custom Railings

Client enlisted Largo Green Inc. (LG) to customize their wood deck overlooking Trinity Bay. Many aspects of this deck project were a process of re-purposing valuable cedar wood. LG planed & scrapped weathering from reclaimed batten boards of cedar (5" wide x 12' long). LG cut the renewed cedar into 1" strips for pickets, routed, then sanded. LG pressure washed the entire cedar deck then stained it all to bring this bayside a fresh new look.

Pergola

The flagstone deck area, just off the kitchen, became a favorite socializing spot. The need for some overhead cover, shade, and fan dictated the building of this shade arbor/pergola. Cedar 2x2 slats were used and set at equi-distant spaces to cover the overhead shape as it widened towards the pool  Vines were trained to travel up and across the lattice created. The stone steps appeared as a low waterfall with the design we chose.

Pressure Wash Flastone Pool Deck

This was LG’s 18th project for this client. LG used top notch Surface Cleaners abd 4200psi Pressure Washer. This removed a thin top layer of the 20 year okd flagstone deck.  LG prepared the deck for sealer-enhancer final step 

Deck Renovation

Largo Green's (LG) client needed a deck repaired that had been setting on the ground, affected by moisture rot, & lacked proper under-support. LG first rebuilt most of the under support, adding many length & width cross beams. LG replaced 30 planks (16'). The client wanted a fresh new look and LG pressure washed off ALL the old red-brown deck stain. (see "Deck Stain Pressure Washed" other project in HOUZZ stack)

Flastone Pool Deck

The flagstone deck area, just off the kitchen, became a favorite socializing spot. The stone steps design integrated with the hardscaoe & appeared as a low cascading waterfall with the design we chose. Idea was for stone to look like water as pool deck became the pool iteelf. 

Staircase wood Repairs

Client had an unstable, heavily weathered, dangerous staircase. Largo Green (LG) WON the bid of 4 vendors. Client said our willingness to explain our Solution & make multiple site visits made the difference. LG's Solution went beyond our contractual scope, delivering significant anchors, braces, & supports to restore a stable, strong, level, &  handsome result. LG used Tapcon concrete screws, driven deep into the asphalt. 

Deck & Staircase Repairs

Rock Terraces & Planters

Client had nearly 60% of property perimeter bordering a dry winding ravine. LG captured the beauty of the 80% shaded hillside with fortified rock terraces & planters. LG extended the property outward, creating more usable property where it had originally sloped down & away.  Much foliage grew quickly into & out of the "terraced" planters, rich with fresh compost. 


Deck Porcelain Tiles

Client hired Largo Green, Inc. (LG) to convert a wood deck to a porcelain tile deck. LG laid 1/2" cement board and connected it with fiberglas mesh tape. Then LG spread 3 thick coats of RedGard waterproofing layer. The porcelain tiles were then laid with 1/4" spacing, using high strength Versabond mortar. 
Special quartz infused grout, with embedded sealer was the final step. 

Client's bayside deck had taken a beating from the Texas weather and bayside humidity & winds. Largo Green (LG) first repaired client's pressure washer, then lifted the grime from the old cedar, & then applied 2 thick coats of protective stain to strengthen the cedar's defenses. The deck came alive with renewed color. The deck will stand up to the weather for many years to come.

Deck Stain Pressure Washed

Largo Green (LG) battled extensive rain/thunder showers over 3 days to remove the stubborn reddish-brown deck stain (800sf). LG applied a stripper liquid to loosen the old stain but the real effort was a steady, patient, application of direct pressure throughout the wood grain. Any wood burr was sanded off. LG delivered a fresh new natural wood result.
