Kitchen 300yr-old Stone Floor

Client wanted a "old-world rustic charm". LG sourced 300 yr-old, reclaimed cathedral stones from Chateau Domingue, a world renown architectural antique dealer, local to Houston, Texas. These “dalles” were often so fragile that they chipped or cracked if not handled carefully. The character “patina” on the stones showed the age. The multitude of color variations are indicative of the trace minerals in the French Burgundy region. It took awhile to find all the right sizes to build the mosaic floor.
