Wood Deck Modified

Client hired Largo Green, Inc. (LG) to modify their deck. The deck planks had aged to point where deck was unsafe per client. Also the deck did not drain properly due to no slope away from the house.

Client decided to have LG raise the existing joists at the house side, just enough for ample slope for drainage. LG procured stronger, ZMAX joists hangers, long coated connectors & screws, and new 3/4" plywood. After raising several joists, LG discovered the original joists were not level. LG raised the joists to ensure consistent leveling across the house side. Then screwed in the new plywood with overhang at deck edges.
